Working on a project means you need solid communication.
Sometimes, a project needs discrete communication. That's where you reserve the right to request a private discussion area.
There are some restrictions on such a privilege though.
Firstly, it must be a project that you intend to work on.
Second, your required to have a team of at least 5 people to file a request. (Exceptions can be made, depending on the project or meeting that is in question, so don't hesitate to ask.)
Each team member must also be supportive of the idea, and needs to post here in approval of the thread creation. This means, you need to submit a master list of team members on the project, along with your request.
Thirdly, this privilege is designed for in progress projects, not clubs. So please only request a discussion area if you have an actual project to collaborate on.
This privilege can be revoked at my discretion only, should a project become defunct, abandoned, or disbanded.
It may also be revoked if a project is not being worked on after an approved area is made for you, within two weeks, or if activity in the area is not related to the project at hand.
If a lack of productive activity is discovered, the area will be closed, and a notification sent to the head of the project. At this point in time, you can file a repeal and attempt to have your area reopened.
Below is the form you must fill out, so feel free to copy and paste it.
Project name:
Team leader username:
Team member user names, and positions:
Password protection needed? Yes/No:
Date needed by:
A brief description of the project must be sent to a staff member or myself after your request is posted here. This is to prevent the abuse of this privilege.
Typically most requests are approved within 3 days, but can take up to 1 week.
That's all there is to it, so please do ask for a discussion area if you need one, and best of luck on your future endeavors!
